Treatment options for patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI) are limited to endovascular and surgical procedures. However, for many patients with CLI it is not possible to undergo such procedures, or the procedures turn out to be ineffective. These patients may eventually undergo an amputation procedure.
REX-001 is a treatment that is given to patients who have poor treatment options.
Previous studies with REX-001 have shown promising results in patients with CLI. Treatment with REX-001 is expected to improve the blood flow in your legs, feet and toes and as a result heal wounds and resolve the rest pain. REX-001 is expected to strengthen existing blood vessels and stimulate the formation of new blood vessels.
REX-001 could prevent further development of the disease and even help avoid amputation.
If you are interested in participating in this study, you can complete the screening questionnaire to verify if you satisfy the requirements of the study. If, based on your answers, you seem to be a suitable candidate, you will receive more information about a participating hospital in your area.
